Topic Types

The documents in the Indigenous Digital Archive have been tagged with key themes or topics using a mixture of machine learning and crowdsourcing. To help explore these topics they are grouped into a number of core types.

Click on "Explore" on any type to discover specific themes within that type.

For example, click "Explore" on the School topic type to discover the individual School names such as "Santa Fe Indian School" and browse the documents tagged with this School.

Individual topics may have descriptions and images taken from DBPedia or Wikidata identified through machine learning.
